California Lighthouse
August 8th, 2008. Good working day today – got a lot done. Between HuChada and the local McDonalds, I got everything I wanted to get done, done.
We went to the California lighthouse for a sunset beach picnic. Here are some photos:
The California lighthouse, named after a ship that sunk here in 1908. It’s sort of hard to see, but there was a wedding part taking pictures at the base of the lighthouse. Very cool.
What a cheesy photo.
This is a good view from the road south of the lighthouse. You can see it’s up on an elevation.
A couple shots of the beach at the northwestern tip of Aruba. See the gallery for more photos.

You guys sound like you are having a blast!!!!! We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying each other’s company… still!! I can’t wait to see your underwater photos. Can you touch a fish for me? I have always been too scared to touch a fish!!!
We miss you!
Why is it called the California Lighthouse when it’s not in California? Was the boat that sunk from California? Is there a way to set up an alert to my email that lets me know when you post something new?
Ignore my last comment about the alert…I figured it out. DUH
I like the car. Keep renting cars you have never heard of.
Try and eat as many wierd things as you can. You will always remember the crazy food you eat when you are in a strange land. Keep up the good times and don’t forget, you can never do anything to touristy(I don’t know if touristy is a word, but I like it).

Hey! Does responding twice in one day give me brownie points? I got your wedding invitation today and just wanted to let you know that it is beautiful!!! We are so excited for your big day!!!!
Alex – I’m surprised you’re able to type so well. Arthritis is a killer (Alex just turned 30…). I will touch a fish for you if I can catch one.
Jake – Thanks bro. Will do.
Nina – You so crazy.
Yes, you do get points for leaving comments. I’ll be keeping track and then Jason will provide a prize at an undetermined time for an undetermined value.
And Nina I don’t know why it’s called the California Lighthouse. If I took the time to thoroughly read the travel books I could tell you.
