Improving OurNewOffice.com for 2009 – Goals

I read every post on Daily Blog Tips – well, almost every post. The “Q&A” posts are just too long and too hard to follow. They don’t keep my interest. Anyways…after reading the list of suggested blog goals for 2009, it got me thinking about what Sara and I should do for this site. Here’s a list of my goals for OurNewOffice.com:

  1. Get more consistent. I’m not blogging often enough, plain and simple. If Sara and I work at it, we can post an entry every day of the week.
  2. Expand the focus. Right now, we’re just blogging about our travels…but people always ask us what it’s like to work abroad, work at home, etc. We should start blogging about that too. I’m going to do some keyword research and come up with some topics that people are really wondering about, and then we’re going to write about them.
  3. Re-design the site. With an expanded focus, we need to start looking at re-designing the site.
  4. Get to 100 RSS and email subscribers. With a little work, Sara and I can probably increase the number of friends and family that subscribe to our blog. That should get us most of the way to 100…

Got any suggestions for us?
