1 – You hear the non-stop sound of honking horns and car alarms.

2 – You can find bite-size-bananas; 18 for 50 cents. They are delicious.

3 – There are fireworks most nights right in the middle of the city. I’m talking big, exciting displays next door to the high-rise building we’re staying in.

4 – The Red Devils

5 – Coke out of the bottle. Also, delicious.

6 – Colorful handicrafts. It appears that all the random handicrafts in Panama are authentic, unlike a lot of other places we’ve visited.

7 – 49 cent beers

8 – Flowering trees and shrubs of all colors. The orange is my favorite.

For some reason I don’t remember seeing coke in bottles at home. I guess I wasn’t looking …

Yup… they have it kind of hidden, but King Soopers has it. Coke comes in a six pack of short little bottles for about $4.59. I’ll have a six pack waiting for you if you stop by. :-)

Matt – I do hope to go to Vietnam, but probably not anytime soon. Maybe on the next Asia tour.

Con – If you promise to have Coke, I might consider a visit. J/K, I was going to try anyway.

Everyone else – Thanks for stopping and for linking!

    Sara,

I am really enjoying your posts on Panama! I am hoping to make it down there sometime in the next year, so I am looking for all the good information I can get. And I agree, coke out of the bottle always seems better!

Those bananas look like they were picked for cabbage patch kids. I want them. Wow. Do they taste like regular bananas? And was anyone else singing “Van Halen – Panama” the entire time they were reading this…? Panama -uh oh uh ah uh

They taste better. Hard to describe, but maybe a little bit sharper of a taste.

Mmm, well I’ll be sure to keep an eye or 5 out for them. In the meantime I’ll just have to settle with the larger (lamer) ones. lol.
